What a busy week! I had absolutely no stamping time yesterday but I did get some much needed errands run. I took Kate to work at 6:30 a.m. and then picked her up at 1:00. After that we headed out to find me something to wear to the wedding this Saturday. Hah ~~ wasn’t that a treat. Everything I liked, she hated. She told me I needed to get up to date and watch What Not to Wear. Even though they sell clothes with shoulder pads in the stores, one should never wear them. Well then why do they sell them! Anyhoo, I ended up with a skirt and sweater that Kate picked out – I think it makes me look dumpy, but by them she was royally PO’d with me and I relented to her choice.

We came in, both of us fell asleep on the couch and needless to say, I completely slept through Mallory’s tennis match. My mother called me at 5:15 and woke me up – said I’d be there is just a few minutes and by the time I got to school, the match was over. I was pulling in the parking lot (3 minutes from my house) and my cellphone rang. It was mother telling me not to bother, that the match was over. Too late – I was there!

Now on a good note yesterday, Kate got her driver’s license back! Can you see this mom doing cartwheels and yelling WOO HOO!!!!!! I actually have some stamping time today and really need to get the creative juices flowing. Checked on today’s challenge and thought – oh yeah I can do this. NOT! Once again today, I tried to make something too complicated, tried 3 or 4 different designs and finally settled on something simple. Got the card done then in no time, but it has taken me literally 30 photos, and close to 2 hours to get the darn card photographed. I give up!

Today’s Limited Supply Challenge on Splitcoast is called Wide Open Spaces. No background stamping, dry embossing, patterned paper or embellishments. There should be a lot of open space. I may have cheated a little by putting the ribbon on this card where I did, but hey – it separates the space! Using one of my new Penny Black flowers, I colored the stamp with markers, misted with water and stamped three consecutive times on Whisper White cardstock. The sentiment is stamped with Black Stazon. I tied on the ribbon and then mounted the front panel on Basic Black and mounted both panels then on a card of Whisper White.
