Sometime ago, and I’m not really sure when, a Snowball RAK started over on the Challenge Chasers RAK Group. I’ve received not one, but two of these stalker challenges in the last week. I knew this was going on, but up until this week, I hadn’t received one of them. Amazing that I should receive two of these in one week!!! The object of this CCRAK, is you receive a RAK containing two images. You are to make two cards with those images, and send those cards to two other members of the CCRAK list along with two images each that you have stamped. The cards below are images that I received from Cindy (chdds). Both images were stamped on Very Vanilla, so that became the base color for the cards.

You Cured Yet

This is one of my favorite images from the set. (If you’ve ever seen any of my twisted and demented cards, you know this one has tons of possibilities.) I water colored the image with reinkers and used markers for some the detail work. I wanted just a little texture for the blanket so it was painted with Tulip White Puffy Paint and then heat set with the embossing gun. Just enough to make it nubby looking. The second layer is Flannel Plaid stamped in Tempting Turquoise, layered on black, and then sewn together on the sewing machine. I added a few brads and ribbon to finish off the card. The main image is on dimensionals to accommodate the ribbon.

How are Ewe

The second image I received was the ewe. Now what else can you do with a ewe, but make it puffy. I painted the face and legs with Blush Blossom, and then applied Tulip White Puffy Paint to the image, right out of the bottle, so that I could get a swirl and make it very thick. It was heat set immediately (no need to wait for this paint to dry) with the embossing gun to get this marvelous fluffy look. The main image was then finished off with a few doodles and layered on Basic Black. The second panel is Weathered background stamped Real Red on Very Vanilla and then sewn together on the sewing machine. Ribbon was wrapped then wrapped around the panel. The bottom layer is Flannel Plaid stamped Real Red on Very Vanilla, and then sewn together on the sewing machine.

I haven’t decided yet who the lucky stalkers are that are going to be receiving these cards. They will, however, be going out in the mail in the next couple of days, along with two more images for the next lucky stalker to carry on the snowball RAK.

  1. I’ve never heard of this ‘puffy paint’ before. It looks so perfect on that darling ‘ewe’. Love that you can heat set it so there is no drying time.

They are both great cards, Sherry!!

  2. Way too gosh darn cute! Sounds like fun!

  3. These are just too cute! Love ’em, as always.

  4. I’m in awe of your work, Sherry. You are super duper talented!
