Wow another day of being able to complete the challenge on Splitcoast. This card is for today’s Sketch Challenge, SC116. The minute I saw the sketch, I knew that my favorite flowers by Penny Black would be perfect. I colored the stamp with markers, misted it with water and then stamped the image three times on Whisper White paper. The corners were notched with the ticket corner punch. To give the image a little depth, I sponged the edges with Tim Holtz Walnut Distressing Ink. I love the flannel plaid background with this flower image and stamped it with Mellow Moss ink on Mellow Moss paper to make my background layer. The sentiment is stamped in Brown Stazon Ink and then the flower was colored with markers to match the main image. To make it work with the image, I then sponged the edges with the distressing ink. To finish off the card, I added a few brads and some ribbon. I sorta veered away from the actual sketch on this one. The sketch called for the sentiment to be at the top, but I just couldn’t make myself cover of those flowers, so I placed it at the bottom.
