Smiley from millan.net Good Tuesday morning!  I hope your day was filled with adventure yesterday.  Mine was relatively quiet and it was definitely nice!  The power only flashed on and off a couple of times and each time it did I just knew it was going to go out.  Luckily it did not and I was able to complete one project in the studio.   Only 3 more to go by the end of the month and I’m afraid those you will have to wait to see.   Hopefully I’ll get those done in the next few days and be able to get started on the next  bunch.

Smiley from millan.net (Mr Stodgy) is having a small procedure this morning so by the time you are reading this, I’m more than likely at the hospital with him.  He has an overnight stay  . . . so maybe, just maybe a little studio time for me.  He’s been getting better since his hospital stay back in February, but little things keep popping up that need to be dealt with before it gets too bad.

Now for today’s project.  It’s all about Spellbinders!  Oh and some Graphic 45 thrown in too!  I have a tendency to overlook the Grand Dies unless I’m working on a wall hanging, etc., so today I thought it would be fun to use them for a card.

The card and all the background papers were die cut/embossed with Grand Labels One.  For the Graphic 45 layer, I die cut the paper then cut off the bottom that I flipped over.  This way I had coordinating paper.  You’ll also see a frame that I made with Graphic 45 paper that was glued down to a thin chipboard coaster.  The coaster was then die cut/embossed with 2 graduating sizes of Labels Twelve.

The flower is made from paper and the leaves from Grungepaper.   Each petal of the flower was inked with Antique Linen and then curled under.  I used the new Peeled Paint Distress Stain on the leaves.  Oh my BADness . . . the stain is fabulous to use on Grungepaper and it takes less time to cover the area.  Using Antique Linen Distress Stain the seam binding was dyed and then misted with water and crumpled up.

I guess that’s all I have for you today!  I’m starting to lose my concentration and so it must be.  Thanks for stopping by and remember . . . life is short, embrace the adventures of the day!

Oh and by the way . . . it’s still raining Smiley from millan.net and looks like it’s going to continue for a few more days, with tomorrow being the worse. Smiley from millan.net
