Well, I don’t know what the weather is like where you live, but here in Southern Indiana, it’s cold today! When I woke up this morning, it was 12̊ degrees and now at close to 3:00 p.m., it still only 18 degrees. Some of you I know have snow – but here, just a light dusting. Now I wouldn’t mind it being this cold if we actually got some snow to go with it! We haven’t had snow in maybe 3 or 4 years now, at least any type of accumulation. By golly, it’s winter – cold weather (which I detest) calls for snow. Why do I detest cold weather? Well first off, I have short hair and my ears get cold. Secondly, you have to actually wear clothes – layers of clothes, and shoes – I don’t like wearing shoes! To top it all off, wearing all the extra layers makes for more laundry, which I never seem to be able to keep on top of either. So my post today – it’s all about Spring!

The Splitcoast Sketch Challenge today is a fun one! Lots of layers which I am trying to make myself design with again!

The image is colored with Copic Markers and there’s just a touch of Spica Glitter pens on the bows. The edges of all the background paper were sponged with distress ink and the squiggles and faux stitches were made with a black gel pen. The sentiment panel was made by layering different size circle punches.

  1. Gosh, Sherry! This is darn cute. I love that basket of bunnies and your coloring is wonderful.

  2. Very cute! Love the layout, hopefully I can play along with the challenge this evening. Keep warm!

  3. Yup! I’m ready for Spring, too!! Darling card, Sherry!

  4. Love this card! TFS

I didn’t realize your temp could be so low without the white Christmas. We’re having light showers (rain) which feels so good as it clears the smoke away from all the fireworks on the eve. Temp here is the transposition of yours; 81.

  5. Its even cold here in FL. with no chance of snow. Good time to think Spring with that cute card.

  6. Cute card today, I haven’t gotten to the challenge yet. I saw 70 degrees on the time and temp sign in Lake Havasu today. We thought it was chilly here. =)

  7. Wow, that is a great card! I really adore bunnies, and that is really pretty with those papers and layers. Great job. I don’t think you have any problems with layers, girl! Keep up the good work! Btw, we have 5 inches of snow here in PA, and it ain’t all it’s cracked up to be. LOL (didn’t have it for Christmas, so it can go away now)–that’s my motto

  8. So cute- love the bunnies and the dotted paper! I’m a Texas transplant, so I do miss the cold and snow a bit (or perhaps I’m just basking in the rosy memories of what I think winter used to be!).

  9. rofl @ more clothes means more laundry…hahaha! How true! We have cold weather from October to April about…I do tons of laundry..ugh!

Love the card today…your colouring always amazes me! I just showed my husband and he said, how come I don’t colour like that? haha! I said, buy me some copics and I’ll TRY! 😉

  10. OMGOSH!!!!!! This is just the cutest card I have ever seen!!! I absolutely love it!!!

  11. I LOVE the layout and all the polka dots and spring FUN on this!! The papers are just great. I never get tired of looking at designer papers, especially when they’re combined well like this. Cute bunny stamp!
